wineNestled among vineyards and olive groves, Fonte Martino is a charming winery in a beautiful Tuscan setting. Its Belgian and German owners warmly welcome you for a relaxed tasting, where you can discover their wines and hear the story behind how they are made. Our tip: Fonte Martino’s wines are among our favourites. We’ll be happy to arrange a tasting for you.
beachFrom the car park, walk through a wonderfully cool pine forest—with a playground—to a peaceful spot on the beach. Borrow a beach chair and parasol from us and enjoy a lovely day by the sea.

routesWe did the City Quest with our sons, aged 6 and 10. It’s a surprisingly fun way to discover Volterra: along the way, you solve riddles and learn all about the city’s history through play. Highly recommended!

routesA beautiful natural swimming spot in the Cecina river, tucked away among rocks and greenery. Park at Il Selvatico – Agri Food Truck and stop there before or after your visit for a refreshing drink or one of their delicious freshly made sandwiches.

routesA beautiful walk alongside crystal-clear blue water, mostly in the shade. It’s fun with children too: along the way, you regularly cross the water using stepping stones and natural obstacles. Start at point A; from there the route runs entirely downhill and is manageable even with young children. Finish with an ice cream in the square in Colle di Val d’Elsa. A handy tip: ask anyone who fancies the uphill walk back to collect the car.

routesOne of our children’s favourites: a beautiful and surprisingly enjoyable aquarium with so much to discover. From colourful fish to fascinating marine animals, every visit is an exciting experience for them. Acquario di Livorno is also a perfect outing for a day when the weather is less favourable. Combine your visit with a walk through Livorno, the atmospheric Venezia Nuova district or lunch by the sea for a wonderful full day out. Our tip: visit the aquarium in the morning and spend the rest of the day exploring Livorno. It’s a lovely way to combine a family outing with a visit to a distinctive Tuscan coastal city.

culinaryWithin walking distance of Podere Sant’Elisa, La Dispensa is one of our favourite restaurants in the area. The food is fantastic, and from the terrace you can watch the sun set. From June through September, there is live music every Friday. Would you like to eat here? We’ll be happy to reserve a table. Our babysitting service is also available.
